Sir, - As regards Dony Horgan's letter of November 1st, I presume he is unaware that the name Alitalia is actually an acronym of "Always Late in Take off, Always Late in Arrival".
Most airline names are actually acronyms of disgruntled customers' views i.e. Sabena (Such A Bloody Experience Never Again), and not corporate indentifiers. I am, however, unaware of the constituent parts of Aer Lingus. Suggestions on a postcard? - Yours, etc.
