I don’t know what Con Houlihan would make of it all: “A man who will misuse an apostrophe is capable of anything”.

What of an iconic writer such as Frank McNally misquoting a King (An Irishman’s Diary, June 14th)?

I doubt the misquoting of Stephen King would provoke objections in the strongest possible terms. Doubtless a fulsome apology of any significant lapse would suffice.
