A chara, - In his article "Losing our sense of community" (Opinion, August 17th), Fr Walter Forde quite rightly calls for a debate on the super-capitalist direction towards which our society has swung.
I live in a by-product of these times - a modern apartment block. I don't know my neighbours and we barely exchange half-grunts in the lift. We are protected from the outside world (the real community) by electronic gates and a high-security video camera.
