Sir, – After the nebulous “discovery” of a common-sense and long-expected particle, it is encouraging to see that science has embraced practical matters and a Nasa administrator, Charlie Bolden, speaking at Trinity College (Carlos Pinto, July 14th), encouraged Irish children to leave the planet.
Apart from the obvious economic advantage of not having to pay for your parents’ rapaciousness, who could not prefer the warm and short northern hemispheric Martian winter to the relentless Irish summer? – Yours, etc,
