Sir, – Here’s a hope for Christmas: that, as every member of the Dáil and the previous adminstration draw their considerable salaries and self-gifted pension pots, they should read your account of the Children’s Hospital (Róisín Ingle, News Agenda, December 18th) and be publicly called to account for their failure to make this a priority. They should hang their heads in shame.
As they set out their stall for 2013 let them declare that children should receive the kind of care to which they are entitled and put a timeframe on it so we can see how they are doing. Afterall, didn’t Taoiseach Enda Kenny promise report cards on his ministers? – Yours, etc,
