Always in a rush

Familiar feeling

Sir, – What a relief to realise I am not the only one leaving things to the last minute (“It takes skill and planning to always be in a rush”, Brianna Parkins, Magazine, August 5th). Ten minutes before the shops close, I’m in there making a beeline for what I want. Ten seconds before the train departs, I’m making sure my travel card is at the ready to get me through the barriers. And yes, I wonder why the daydreamers are always standing slap bang in the way, as I swerve like a Dublin full forward to gallop past them. Oh dear, is that the time? I have to run! – Yours, etc,

MARY FOGARTY,

Balbriggan,

Co Dublin.
