Sir, – It is obvious that the whole system of accommodating Ukrainian refugees in Ireland has broken down (News, September 7th). The fact that 85 per cent of properties pledged for use for refugees are not on stream is deeply upsetting and unacceptable. It is the Government’s responsibility to ensure that those involved, such as the Irish Red Cross and local authorities, are competent and capable of handling this serious matter. – Yours, etc,
MARY O’DWYER,
Dublin 6W.
