An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning an imminent vacancy in the office of President of the High Court, carried four photographs of possible candidates for the office. The caption for the photograph of Mr Justice Paul Gilligan said, in error, that he has a background as a solicitor. The error occurred in the editing process.

An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning education cuts for Protestant schools, was accompanied by a wrong photograph. The photograph should have been of the Most Rev Dr John Neill, the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin, who was also misnamed in the caption and text as Dr John O’Neill.

An editorial in yesterday’s edition, concerning the “Dine in Dublin Restaurant Week”, said the promotion started yesterday. In fact, it runs from October 12th to October 18th.

An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning the corruption trial of South Africa’s former police chief Jackie Selebi, said that he was a former head of Interpol. He was president of Interpol from 2004 to 2008. The secretary general is the full-time head of Interpol.
