An article on plans for Dominican Order schools in yesterday's newspaper referred to two teacher training colleges. It should have referred to the Froebel College of Education as a teaching institution for primary teachers; and St Catherine's College of Education as one training teachers in home economics.
An article in last Saturday's Irish Times Magazine incorrectly gave the length of the Great Wall of China as 35,000 miles. In fact, known sections of the wall extend only to some 6,000 kilometres, although archaeological findings this year extended that by 500 kilometres in a desolate north-western desert region of China.
