Gardai have appealed to the public for assistance following an attack on a 90-year-old woman as she was on her way to early morning Mass at the Church of The Ascension in Gurranabraher in Cork.
The woman suffered a broken nose and bruising after two men in their early 20s knocked her to the ground at about 7.20 a.m. yesterday and made off with her handbag, which contained only a prayer book and rosary beads.
