A YOUTH was being held for questioning in Cork yesterday in connection with the murder last March of Michael Crinnion, who was well known to the gardai as a drug dealer in the city.

The youth was held under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and the detention order was extended for 24 hours at 10 a.m. yesterday.

He was being held at Watercourse Road Garda station in Cork city. Gardai would not say if he was from Cork.

Mr Crinnion was shot dead at close range by a gunman at the doorway to the Clannad Bar in Barrack Street, Cork.
