A youth who was held for questioning by detectives following a fatal shooting in the Moyross area of Limerick last weekend has been freed.

The 18-year-old is understood to have been in a car with Frankie Ryan (21) when he was shot dead on Sunday evening in the latest feud-related killing in Limerick.

He fled the scene but was arrested a short time later and held under Section 30 of the offences Against the State Act. He was released today without charge.
