Moscow - President Yeltsin returned to work at the Kremlin briefly yesterday under a compromise agreed with doctors treating him at a Moscow clinic for a heavy cold.
His spokesman said Mr Yeltsin worked three hours at his Kremlin desk yesterday morning before returning to the Barvikha clinic west of Moscow where he was admitted on December 10th with a chill and an acute chest infection. The president would return to his desk again today, the spokesman said, adding that the work schedule had been agreed as "a sort of compromise with his doctors".
