Two women, who injured themselves when they rolled off the boot of a moving Rolls Royce after a night out in Dublin's Leeson Street, have each settled a £30,000 personal injury action against the driver.

Ms Sheila Quin, Pennywell Road, Limerick, and Ms Siobhan Mooney, Oak Road, Donnycarney, Dublin, who had sued Mr Leo Mohan, Donegall Avenue, Belfast, accepted undisclosed damages.

They claimed to have been sitting on the boot of the parked car at Leeson Street in February, 1995 when it was driven off by Mr Mohan and that they had fallen to the roadway when it turned into Fitzwilliam Place.
