A number of women who had earlier attended an Orange Order parade in Derry on Saturday were attacked by stone throwing youths as they were visiting the city's Guildhall. The women were attacked with stones, bottles and beer cans, according to a DUP councillor, Mr Gregory Campbell.

Two hours earlier they were part of a group of about 300 Orangewomen who marched in the city.

Mr Campbell claimed that the attack was brutal and sectarian. A man guiding the women was injured.
