The PSNI has appealed for information following a kidnap and attempted robbery in Belfast.

At around 4pm yesterday evening two masked men entered a property in the March Street, Shankill Road, area.

Two women were in the property and a 19-year-old was forced into the boot of a black car with tinted windows while the other remained in the house and was unhurt.

The assailants called the victim's friend at work at Grand Parade, east Belfast, telling her to take all the money from the premises and leave it in a bin outside.

The woman left in the house was told to collect the money and leave it at a designated place but refused. The kidnap victim was left at Peter's Hill, near the city centre, between 5.30pm and 6pm.

Detectives appealed for anybody who may have seen the car in Peter's Hill at the time or in the Cavehill area earlier to contact them.
