A woman in her 50s was killed at Salthill station yesterday morning when she was hit by a north-bound DART train as it entered the station at about 7 a.m. The emergency services were called and the woman's body was taken to Loughlinstown hospital. Counselling services were made available to the driver.
DART services between Bray and Booterstown were postponed until 8.30 a.m. and thousands of commuters were left without the service for more than an hour.
