Following a post mortem carried out this evening by assistant State pathologist, Dr Margot Bolster foul play is not now suspected.

The body was discovered in the apartment complex on Gerald Griffin Street in the north of the city just after lunchtime, a Garda spokesman confirmed.

"We are investigating the circumstances of the discovery of the woman's body. The area has been sealed off and the services of the State pathologist have been requested," he added.
