Woman (22) remanded over pensioner's death

A 22-year-old woman has been remanded in custody after she was charged with the murder of a Dublin pensioner last month.

Mr Duffy (66), a retired taxi driver, died after a car was driven at him in the driveway of his son's house in Wellview Grove, Blanchardstown at 2am on January 26th. The dead man's son was also injured during the incident and underwent medical treatment.

Claire Nolan, with an address in Sheephill Gree, Blanchardstown appeared in Blanchardstown District Court this morning. She was remanded to Mountjoy Women's prison until next Tuesday.
