Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on Parnell Square west near the junction with Parnell Street on December 18th.

Adam Nolan (48), who was from Dublin, was seriously injured when he was struck by two cars at about 12.15am on Tuesday. He was taken to the Mater hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The drivers of both vehicles, who were uninjured, have been identified as part of the investigation.

Gardaí said they would appeal in particular to anyone who was in the vicinity of Parnell Square west (close to the Rotunda Hospital entrance) between 12.05 am and 12.15 am to contact them at Store Street Garda station 01-6668000 or on the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111
