steamrolled two of the WTA tour's marquee players on Wednesday to set up a Williams family semi-final showdown at the Tennis Master Series-Indian Wells tournament.

Serena Williams handed second seed and defending champion Lindsay Davenport her worst loss in the last six years, destroying the former world number one 6-1 6-2.

Williams's third-seeded older sister Venus then pounded eighth-seeded Russian rising star Elena Dementieva into the pavement 6-0 6-3.
