Two men escaped unhurt after a helicopter crashed in Co Wicklow last night.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit of the Department of Transport is investigating the crash of the training craft near Newtownmountkennedy at about 8.30pm.
The British-registered helicopter was destroyed by fire, but the pilot and passenger managed to escape.
Witnesses said they saw smoke billowing from the helicopter before it crashed and that it burst into flames on impact. Both men ran from the craft after it hit the ground.
