Dublin

Roadworks on North King Street/Capel Street between Church Street and Henrietta Street. Road will not be closed as originally planned.

Fleet Street will be closed from Aston Place to Price's Lane until July 22nd. It will be closed from Bedford Row to Aston Place until tomorrow. Traffic diversions will be in place via Aston Place, Aston Quay and Crampton Quay. Roadworks are also in place on Bolton Street until 24th July.

Westmeath

Roadworks in place until August 31st on the N4 for 5 km between Mullingar and Kinnegad. Work will take place Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Until at least September or October, roadworks will be in place on the N4, at the Longford end of the Mullingar Bypass, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Kilkenny

Ongoing roadworks until 2002 on the Limerick/Waterford (N24) at Greenside, Carrick on Suir adjacent to the Garda station.

Roadworks until approximately July 25th on John Street. Likely delays as work will be carried out between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Delays expected on the N10 Kilkenny/Carlow Road at Clara due to roadworks until June 30th.

Limerick

Roadworks for the next year on the N24 between Beary's Cross and Grange Cross.

Cork

Until mid-August, South Main Street will be closed for roadworks between Washington Street and Tuckey Street. Diversions are via Grand Parade and Tuckey Street.

There will be delays on the N8 (Cork Road) due to resurfacing.

Iarnrod Eireann

Expect continuing delays on mainline rail journeys because of industrial action. For information, call 1850 366 222, open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday.

Aer Rianta

More than 185,000 passengers are expected to pass through Dublin Airport this weekend. Over 320 charter flights have been added to the normal schedule to cater for holidaymakers.

Tomorrow will be the busiest day as passengers are expected to exceed 65,000, with over 1,500 passenger aircraft movements over the three days. Information on parking and getting to the airport: 1800 20 40 10.

Road Deaths

There have been five deaths on Irish roads this week, bringing this year's total to 200.
