Road-widening works on the M50 near the Palmerstown exit will affect all south-bound traffic. Medians along the Naas Road are no longer in operation between the Kingswood and Airmotive junctions.

Work on QBCs in Swords and Rathfarnham will affect traffic in both areas. The North Clondalkin QBC will affect traffic along Cornmarket/Lamb Alley, Thomas Street, James's Street, Sarsfield Road/Ballyfermot Road, Grattan Crescent, Meath Street and Francis Street. Crane Lane is closed Monday to Friday with no access from Essex Street East to Dame Street. KILDARE The Athy Road out of Monasterevin will be closed all day. Traffic lights will be in operation after 8 p.m.

Motorists are advised to avoid the junction of the N80 at Portlaoise Road and the N9 Dublin Road as major roadworks are in place.

Mayo

In Castlebar, Spencer Street, is closed. Expect delays on the N84.

Tipperary

Work is in progress on the Nenagh bypass. Expect delays.

Cork

Coach Street and Victoria Street are closed. Kyrl's Quay is one-way east-bound. Westbound traffic diverted to Cornmarket Street and Kyrl's Street. Temporary lights are in place on the N20 between Cork and Limerick in Ballyhea and at Newpothouse. Oliver Plunkett Street Lower is closed between Parnell Place and Clontarf Street.

Some 144,000 passengers are expected to pass through Dublin airport this weekend. Passengers are advised to allow sufficient time to comply with check-in regulations.

Bus Eireann

Special buses for tomorrow's Navan races and Sunday's Curragh races will leave Busaras 11/2 hours before the scheduled time of first race. The cost is £6 return and must be booked in advance at Busaras.

Dublin Bus

No buses in operation throughout today and tomorrow due to industrial action.

Iarnrod Eireann

Expect bus transfers on the line between Sligo and Mullingar from mid-morning and every Saturday until mid-July due to track improvement works. All Dublin-bound services from Sligo and Edgeworthstown will depart 20 minutes earlier than normal. This Sunday, inter-city services will serve the Curragh for the races.
