In Dublin, work on the Swords Quality Bus Corridor, traffic will be disrupted at the junction of Beaumont Road and Collins Avenue. Gracepark Road reduced to southbound traffic only between Collins and Griffith Avenues. Traffic will be reduced to three lanes northbound along O'Connell Street during the day and two lanes southbound at night due to drainage work. Drainage work will also affect Jervis Street from the Mary Street junction to Parnell Street.

Cable-laying on Church Street, North King Street, Dorset Street Lower, Parkgate Street, St Pappin's Road and Conyngham Road. Crane Lane is closed and access from Essex Street East to Dame Street is blocked off. Due to work on the gas mains, Terenure Road East, Sundrive Road, Rathfarnham Road will experience delays.

In Westmeath, there will be roadworks along a 5 km stretch of the N4 between Mullingar and Kinnegad.

In Kildare, the N7 in Monasterevin will be one-way for southbound traffic. An alternative route will be in place on the Portlaoise bypass.

In Cork, delays are expected on the N20 between Cork and Limerick in Ballyhea village. Summerhill North remains closed to inbound traffic. Dean Street, Parnell Place, Grattan Street are closed to traffic.airc Ui Chaoimh as far as Church Avenue.

In Waterford, major work opposite Gladstone Street towards Rice Bridge along the quay.

Iarnrod Eireann:

Some Saturday and Sunday services on the following lines will be disrupted due to engineering work: Dublin-Sligo line, Limerick line, Mallow to Tralee. Bus transfers will be in operation. On Sunday, engineering work between Hazelhatch and Inchicore will effect the Tralee, Galway, Waterford and Cork lines. Passengers may experience delays of up to 40 minutes. A record one million passengers passed through Cork, Dublin and Shannon airports during January. This weekend, passenger numbers through Dublin Airport are expected to exceed 133,000.

Road Deaths:
