In Dublin city-centre drainage work will continue on O'Connell Street, Princes Street North, Cathedral Street and North Earl Street this week.
Traffic on O'Connell Street will be reduced to three lanes northbound during the day and two lanes southbound at night. St Andrew's Street will be closed to traffic with diversions from Suffolk Street via Dame Street.
Drainage work will continue throughout the week on Jervis Street from the Mary Street junction to Parnell Street junction, with traffic reduced to one lane.
Roadworks are in place on the M50 at the Lucan exit, with a concrete bollard to stop motorists exiting at the last minute. The ESB will be laying cable all week on Church Street, North King Street, Dorset Street Lower, Parkgate Street, St Pappins Road and Conyngham Road.
There will also be roadworks on Fleet Street, between Bedford Row and Westmoreland Street, with traffic reduced to one lane.
In Kildare and Meath roadworks and speed ramps are in place on the N4 between Enfield and Kilcock, and works will continue on the N7 at Monasterevin with traffic one-way for southbound vehicles. Major roadworks are under way in Carlow at the junction of the N80 and Portlaoise Road and the N9 Dublin Road, with major delays at peak times.
In Laois roadworks will continue on the N8 at Abbeyleix with traffic reduced to one lane on weekdays. In Limerick city Howley's Quay, Harvey's Quay and Honan's Quay will be closed to northbound traffic. There will be major roadworks in Adare village.
In Kilkenny there will be roadworks on the N8 at Johnstown and in Tipperary on the N24 at Greenside, near the Garda station in Carrick-on-Suir. There will also be major roadworks on the Nenagh by-pass at the Limerick end.
In Cork city Summerhill North remains closed to inbound traffic. Drivers are advised to avoid Wellington Road and St Luke's Cross. Due to the Cork Main Drainage Scheme, Grattan Street between Henry Street and Bachelor's Quay will be closed to traffic, as will be both O'Connell Street and the Castlegraine/ Castlegraine Park junction. Access to Kennedy Quay will be via Mill Road only.
There are also roadworks on the N20 at Ballyhea village, between Cork and Limerick, and at Twopothouse.
In Waterford a drainage scheme has resumed on the N25 at the Quay opposite Gladstone Street, with traffic restricted to two lanes.
On the railways major track works continue on the Mallow-Tralee line with departure times between Tralee and Banteer 20 minutes earlier. There will be bus transfers between Tralee and Mallow stations.
On the Sligo route, track works continue between Edgeworthstown and Carrick-on-Shannon with some trains suspended. Alternative bus services will be supplied.
At Connolly Station in Dublin the link tunnel for passengers from platforms 6 & 7 to platforms 1-5 will be closed. Access between the mainline station and Connolly suburban station will be via Amiens Street.
