As the unofficial strike at the Ballygowan spring water plant in Co Limerick nears the end of its second week, the company has been importing bulk water supplies from Britain.

The C C-owned Newcastle West plant has been importing the supplies for customers who use water coolers.

According to the company, it is the only product affected by the dispute and the customers are "happy" to use the Aquaporte water.

The Co Limerick workers are seeking pay parity with colleagues at the parent company, cider-producing Showerings in Clonmel.
