The US media used the word "rat" liberally in splashing the story of the capture of Saddam Hussein.
"A Bearded Bum Caught Like a Rat" blared the New York Daily News. The Chicago Tribune had "Caught Like a Rat". The Washington Times went further with: "Former dictator 'Caught Like a Rat, Didn't Fight Back'".
