An American Airlines flight en route from New York to Dallas was diverted last night to Dulles International Airport in Washington because of a threat, transportation officials said.
Authorities searched the plane and the luggage after a passenger was said to have found a suspicious note on the plane.
A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman said later nothing was found.
