US denies envoy is resigning

PARIS - The US embassy in Pans has "categorically denied" that the ambassador, Ms Pamela Harriman, is resigning her post or leaving France. The denial follows a series of sports that Ms Harriman, chose arrival in Paris as a political appointee of President Clinton raised eyebrows in diplomatic circles, was standing down or had already left France.
