Tokyo - US special envoy Mr William Perry voiced concern yesterday that a nuclear pact with North Korea could be scrapped due to its refusal to allow inspections of a suspected nuclear facility, Japanese officials said.

Mr Perry arrived in Tokyo on Wednesday for talks including the 1994 nuclear deal between the US and North Korea under which Pyongyang pledged to scrap its suspected atomic weapons programme in return for free fuel and safer nuclear reactors.
