Washington will resumeUS-backed drug interception flights over Colombia, which weresuspended following the 2001 deaths of a US missionary andher baby in Peru, US Defense Secretary Mr Donald Rumsfeld said today
Mr Rumsfeld told reporters traveling with him on a trip toColombia that President George W. Bush would announce thedecision later today.
"That ... will resume soon," Mr Rumsfeld said. "The presidentis acting on it and he will be announcing it some time today.It's pretty clear that that's going to happen."
