CAPE CANAVERAL - Astronaut Shannon Lucid, after six months in orbit, was one step closer to Earth yesterday as shuttle Atlantis roared into space to pick her up from Russia's Mir station.
The shuttle is supposed to dock with Mir late tomorrow.
