Man Utd 3 Sturm Graz 0
Manchester United easily qualified for their fifth consecutive Champions League quarter-final with a convincing 3-0 win over Sturm Graz tonight. But with Valencia also winning at home to Panathinaikos United will have to be content with second in their group
Without the presence of England captain David Beckham and strikers Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke, all left on the bench after last weeks uninspiring performance in Greece, they made light work of an uninspiring Austrian side.
Nicky Butt opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a low drive from the edge of the area. Teddy Sheringham added a second in the 19th minute by sweeping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's cross past Kazimierz Sidorczuk.
The keeper then did well to save from Paul Scholes and twice from Solskjaer as United controlled the game.
Roy Keane completed the win with a low drive four minutes from time. The Austrians only once bothered Fabien Barthez, when Ivuca Vastic's dipping free-kick forced the Frenchman into a sprawling stop at the foot of his right post.
