The management at TEAM Aer Lingus has insisted that it is not refusing to meet craft unions following the unions' postponement of a vote on a strike ballot. The company wrote to each of the craft unions yesterday to invite them to a meeting this week or next.

One of the seven unions has been expelled from the craft group following an inter union dispute. The remaining six unions want to negotiate with TEAM management as a group.

A union source said that the craft group would meet this afternoon to discuss the letter.
