AN UNEMPLOYED father of seven from Co Donegal became the State's 57th Lotto millionaire yesterday when he collected a cheque for £2,083,399. He was in a neighbour's house when the draw took place and rushed home to check his ticket. "I let out a scream when I discovered they were my six numbers."
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been living on a weekly family income of £210. "My wife, who is expecting our eighth child could not believe it and she went into hospital the following morning I think the excitement got the better of her", he said. "Life has been tough, but we can certainly enjoy ourselves from now on.
"I have not had a holiday since 1982, but it is a dream to bring the children to Disney world in the US."
