Typhoid in Clontarf

Sir, - I crave room in your columns in order to draw attention to the outbreak of typhoid fever in Clontarf

Sir, - I crave room in your columns in order to draw attention to the outbreak of typhoid fever in Clontarf. In one road there are nine cases, and twentyfour within a stone's throw of a single house.

The smells increase daily. The slobland in this neighbourhood consists of indescribable filth, and for months past the stench from it has been mixed with the smell of chloride of lime, poured upon it with a generous hand by our beneficent Corporation. When some of the residents complained they were assured that there was nothing unwholesome being laid down; nothing but road refuse, though the place at the time was crowded with rag and bone pickers. Where is the Public Officer of Health? Yours, etc. SANITAS.
