Gardaí in Co Clare have arrested two more teenagers in connection with an arson attack in Ennis on Wednesday night in which one house was extensively damaged and a car destroyed while a whole terrace of homes had to be evacuated.
A 19-year-old local man, whom gardaí had been questioning about the incident, has already been released without charge. Gardaí have confirmed that a file on the matter in relation to the first suspect will now be prepared and forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A search continued all day on Thursday for two other suspects and during a follow-up operation yesterday two men, aged 18 and 19, were also arrested in Ennis.
The teenagers, believed to be local, were taken to Ennis Garda station where they were still being questioned last night.
