Two men were injured in a shooting incident in Dublin this afternoon.

Two men were injured in a shooting incident in Dublin this afternoon.

A Garda spokeswoman said one man was shot in the leg and another in the groin by a lone gunman shortly after 3 p.m.

The incident happened on Cloverhill Road in the Ronanstown area of the city. The two were transferred to Tallaght Hospital, where their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The spokeswoman said the gardaí was looking for a man with short hair wearing jeans and a blue top, who was seen running from the scene of the incident.
