Two men will appear at Belfast Magistrates court later this morning charged with the murder of Alexander McKinley, shot at the height of a loyalist feud in October 2002.

The pair, who were arrested by detectives in the Belfast area, were arrested and questioned about the murder yesterday.

Mr McKinley (22) was shot in the head at Euston Street in the Woodstock Road area of east Belfast on October 7th and died almost a week later in hospital.

He was murdered during a period of bitter tension between two loyalist paramilitary groups, the Ulster Defence Association and the smaller Loyalist Volunteer Force.
