Harare - Two people were killed and six injured in violence in a Harare township late yesterday, police said. "Two houses have been petrol-bombed. Six people were injured in that assault, two died as a result of assault," a police spokesman said.
He said the violence in Epworth township south-east of Harare was not related to a two-day general strike called to protest against petrol price rises. Police in Harare were on high alert barricading roads into the city.
