Two injured in serious assaults in North

A man is in serious condition in hospital in Belfast after being stabbed in the early hours of this morning.

The unidentified 49-year-old man was attacked outside a bar off the Albert Bridge Road in East Belfast.

Meanwhile, the RUC have repeated a call for witnesses to a violent attack on a man in Dungannon this morning.

According to an RUC spokesman, a group of up to 15 people attacked the 31-year-old man outside a taxi depot on Scotch Street at around 2:00 am.

He suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries to his head and body. A number of people arrested by the RUC after the incident have since been released.
