Two gardai were injured when their patrol car collided with another car near Dundalk Co Louth overnight.
The incident happened at around 2.25 a.m. at Castletown. Both gardai were taken to Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, were one was detained overnight. His injuries are not life-threatening.
No-one else was injured.
