Two escape NI petrol bomb attack

A 51-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl escaped injury today in a petrol bomb attack at a house in west Belfast.

A 51-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl escaped injury today in a petrol bomb attack at a house in west Belfast.

The attack took place in the Springfield Close area of Ballymurphy at around 5am this morning.

The woman and child were in the house at the time, but police said that while they were not injured, they were left shaken by their ordeal.

A front window of the house was damaged in the attack.

Police appealed for information, but said that a motive for the incident had yet to be established.
