Two men appeared in court today charged in connection with the death of a Connemara teacher and part-time publican last September.

Mr Kenny (56) was found dead with his hands tied behind his back at his pub in Oughterard on September 25th, 2011.

The two men - aged 17 and 36 - were arrested in Cork city last night. Both were taken to Millstreet Garda station where they were charged in relation to the murder.

The men were transferred to Galway this morning where they appeared before a special sitting of the district court.

Seven people had previously been detained in connection with Mr Kenny's death prior two last night's arrests.

In addition to running a bar in Oughterard, Mr Kenny was a teacher at Presentation College in Athenry.
