TV3 has indicated it is unlikely to make a bid for the rights to broadcast Premiership football highlights. This follows RTE's decision to drop its Saturday evening show, The Premiership.
A spokeswoman for TV3 said it had already examined the possibility of purchasing the rights but concluded it was "not a commercially viable product for us".
