Turkish police have arrested a man suspected of killing a two-year-old Scottish boy who was caught in crossfire during a gun fight.

Alastair Grimason of East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, was killed as he slept in his buggy near his mother at a cafe in the tourist resort of Foca. A 29-year-old man was also shot and killed.

Police say Mr Daimi Akyuz was arrested after being found at the house of a relative, where officers claim he has been hiding since the July shooting. The relative faces prosecution for aiding a wanted man.

The Anatolia news agency reports the incident in Foca started when three men in the cafe began arguing and Mr Akyuz allegedly pulled a gun.
