Atlanta - A tornado killed at least 13 people and injured scores more yesterday when it carved a 16 km swathe of destruction across the US state of Georgia. The governor, Mr Zell Miller, flew over the area and declared a state of emergency. At least 77 people were taken to hospitals. Some were reported in a critical condition.
