JAKARTA - Five East Timorese taking refuge in the Spanish Embassy in Jakarta for two "weeks left Indonesia yesterday for asylum in Portugal, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said.
The five Timorese men entered the embassy on September 10th and had earlier asked that a statement on human rights issues be broadcast on international radio before they would leave the embassy compound in central Jakarta.
