Three men were injured, one critically, in two separate assaults in Dublin early this morning.

Three men were injured, one critically, in two separate assaults in Dublin early this morning.

A male in his late teens is in a critical condition with severe head injuries in St James's Hospital after being assaulted on Fownes Street in Temple Bar at about 4 a.m.

Although no one has yet been arrested, gardai are optimistic that video cameras in the area will provide further details. Any one with information is asked to contact Pearse Street Garda Station.

Following a row on Sheriff Street at 4.15 a.m. two young men are being treated in the Mater Hospital.

A 23-year-old was admitted after being stabbed in the neck with a bottle while a 17-year-old with head injuries was also taken for treatment. The condition of both is reported to be stable.
